Tyler Thacker is a multimedia artist primarily working with trompe l’oeil oil painting on canvas. Born in Los Angeles, he works between Istanbul, Paris, and New York. Themes of interest include the history of ‘vanitas’ still life painting and the Baroque, corporate advertisement, post-structuralism, global cybernetics and Accelerationism. He is currently curating a group exhibition in Manhattan opening March, preparing a body of large scale paintings focused around the landscape, and developing a feature film.
